Ageing Zsa Zsa Gabor clings to the glamorous life.
Former sex symbol Zsa Zsa Gabor may be approaching her 91st birthday, but the once flamboyant socialite still has a flair for glamour.
While the years have clearly caught up on the ageing Hungarian-born star, a great-aunt of Paris Hilton, she proved one is never too old for a day of primping as she arrived a Beverly Hills beauty salon yesterday
It was a rare outing for the star of 1950s film Moulin Rouge and Queen of Outer Space, who has been in virtual seclusion since suffering a stroke in 2005.
While she has step away from the spotlight she once desperately craved - she was, after all, credited as the first celebrity who was famous for being famous - her love life has still made headlines.
Earlier this year, her husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt was the third man to contest the paternity of Anna Nicole Smith's baby daughter, claiming that he had a decade-long affair with the troubled model.
Before Dannielynn's biological father was revealed as photographer Larry Birkhead, Frederic filed adoption papers for the child, however Zsa Zsa refused to sign them.
Still it appears her latest marriage - she has had nine husbands in total - has survived the scandal.
He was on hand to help the frail star, who now relies on a wheel chair, as she left at the salon following her appointment.
Flamboyant: Zsa Zsa is best known as the first celebrity to be famous simply for being famous, clearly paving the way for her great-grandniece Paris Hilton

Not a Good-look
Celebrity Big Brother loser Danielle Lloyd got a bit carried away with the theme for her 24th birthday party 'pimps and tarts'. The glamour model who is currently dating Tottenham Hotspur and England footballer Jermaine Defoe arrived with her ner beau in tow loking rather like a cheap tarts. The location of the venue may had something to do with her choice of outifit,Faces nightclub in Essex!
Raunchy Rihanna does Wembly Arena
The 19-year-old knows a thing or two about setting pulses racing herself - she sizzled on stage the following night as she performed at the Wembley Arena in a skimpy black PVC outfit.
Her head-turning costumes were designed by Dolce and Gabbana, who are already well known for creating iconic tour looks for both Madonna and Kylie Minogue.
The design duo said: “She's a break-out talent with decades of success ahead of her and we wanted to be a part of that sensation.”
It's been a triumphant year for the performer - her single Umbrella has just become the longest-running British number one by a female artist since Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You.
Her platinum album Good Girl Gone Bad has also been nominated for six Grammy awards.

Matthew Williamson defends himself against African print criticism
African-inspired prints designed by Matthew Williamson have upset Ethiopia's Intellectual Property Office who have expressed anger over his decision to replicate their traditional dress.
The British designer has been forced to defend pieces from his spring/summer '08 collection after the Ethiopian government launched an investigation into how to protect its national costume.
In a statement, Williamson's spokesperson said: "Historically, Matthew Williamson bases his collections on the idea of a modern girl who is a global traveler. Her style is in part defined by incorporating many different cultures, traditions and customs. The spring-summer 2008 season was particularly inspired by the idea of modernizing and celebrating certain traditional African fabrics and costumes."
However, Abdurazak Omer of the Intellectual Property Office begs to differ. "We are very unhappy with the actions of Mr Williamson. These are the dresses of our mothers and grandmothers. They symbolise our identity, faith and national pride. Nobody has the right to claim these designs as their own," he told the Independent.
While Omer admits that officers will be limited in what they can do, Facebook groups outraged by Williamson's designs suggest he donate a percentage of his profits to a charity that supports Ethiopian weavers and tailors or employ more African models in his campaigns and catwalk shows.
2008 spring Louis Vuitton Collection
With an all-star line up that includes the likes of by Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Stephanie Seymour, Eva Herzigova, Angela Lindvall and Natalia Vodianova, it’s no douting that the Louis Vuitton spring 2008 advertising campaign is going to be hot. WWD likened it to an issue of Hot Rod magazine but charged with high glamour. "I thought the idea of hot chicks and cars was really cool — and very Richard Prince," said Vuitton creative director Marc Jacobs, of the color-drenched images of supermodels draped on Sixties muscle cars to WWD. The campaign was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott with the Seymour and Herzigova campaigns set to break in February issues of glossy mags with the Campbell, Schiffer, Lindvall and Vodianova images set to launch in the months after that.
When Spice Girls' gave Cavalli their costume requirements...
Roberto Cavalli has revealed to the media what each Spice Girl’s costume requirements were for their world tour. Victoria Beckham wanted to experiment with her costumes and perhaps surprise a few people. "Her only request was that we give her hips," Cavalli says. No doubt the stick thin star needs all the help she can with the only curves on her frame surgically enhanced.
"Melanie B, she was very strong, very assertive. She wanted shiny, body-conscious clothes, and animal prints.” Recent mum, Emma was reportedly very quiet as first, "...but [she] became more confident. She wanted her outfits to be more conservative and covered up."
Meanwhile Geri Halliwell wanted to show off her newly toned body – which is looking quite the opposite of her curvaceous frame during the earlier Spice Girls days. "Because Melanie C is the main vocalist, she wanted to be more rock chick than sporty - so for her, more trousers. Geri wanted everything sexy and very theatrical."

Is Your Man Ruining Your Outfit?
Well in this case, Yes.
Serial Footballer Dater Dannielle Lloyd stepped out last night with her new beau Footballer Jermaine Defoe.
The pair seemingly make a nice couple, but due to Jermaine lacking inches in the height department, loving Danielle made a huge fashion faux pas when opting for trusty seasonal ballet pumps to finish off her lilac ensemble.
Not being the biggest style of icon, the model must have known that footwear such as this is far more appriorate and with an outfit such as that.

Women reject Coleen's velour tracksuit - but they love Little Black Dresses
Coleen Mcloughlin may have been hailed as a style icon, modelling for George at Asda, but even she can't pull off the velour tracksuit.
The offending item also beloved of Madonna, headed the fashion horror list in a recent survey, with 27 per cent branding it as a faux pas.
Other mustn't-haves include the shell suit, the puffball skirt and hot pants, according to the poll of 3,000 shoppers.

Unfortunately, however, many of us have been lured into buying such no-nos.
An astonishing 96 per cent of people admitted to owning at least one item on the list of clothing disasters.
And the cost of such misguided shopping isn't cheap. More than a quarter - 27 per cent - admitted spending at least £500 on garments they will never wear again.
The survey also celebrated style successes with Audrey Hepburn's little black dress topping the list.

Despite the passage of time, the stunning frock the movie star wore in Breakfast at Tiffany's in 1961 has stayed firmly in fashion.
Now the LBD has once more been voted the top must-have for every woman's wardrobe.
More than 76 per cent named it as the most influential item in fashion history.
Half of those surveyed said they have at least one little black example hanging in their wardrobe.
The responses of men to the survey may indicate why the frocks remain so popular.
Thirty-one per cent chose it as the outfit they would prefer to see on their partner.
Second on the list of iconic fashion items were jeans, with 37 per cent voting in their favour.
They were also the most commonly-owned item of clothing - 81 per cent said they had owned at least ten pairs of jeans so far.
Almost half of those polled - 45 per cent - admitted they could not imagine life without their favourite pair of jeans, high praise for a garment invented in the late 18th century.
The Wonderbra, best known for it's eye-popping advertising campaigns, came third in the survey, on 32 per cent.
More than 16 years after its launch here, it is still as popular as ever, helping women across the country enhance their natural assets.
Brendan Courtney, presenter on UKTV Style's The Clothes Show, which commissioned the survey said: "The LBD is an absolute classic, perfect for the office party or even New Years Eve.
"Whilst different generations might have their own ideas about style, many of these iconic fashions have shown their ageless popularity.
"It just shows that true style lasts forever."
The study also revealed that Kylie Minogue is the top style icon among celebrities.
Thirty-one per cent of respondents nominated the Australian singer, placing her just ahead of Catherine Zeta-Jones on 27 per cent.

Renee flashes her legs - and then puts her foot through her dress - on the red carpet
It was the kind of faux-pas one could virtually guarantee Bridget Jones would make at a film premiere.
Yet it might be hoped that Renee Zellweger, who plays her on screen, might have a bit more decorum.
As Zellweger strode onto the red carpet for the latest movie in London, a gust of wind carried her dress away revealing a rather severe split up her thigh.
Moments later, posing for photographers, she again unintentionally flashed when she bent down to rearrange the polkadot creation - now sopping wet from the rain - when it wound uncomfortably around her leg.
The 38-year-old actress has lost so much weight in recent months that she joked that the floor-length gown she was wearing last night weighed as much as she did.
As she traipsed along the carpet at the opening of Bee Movie in a Caroline Herrera dress in pouring rain, she joked: "It is soaking wet. I am like a sponge.
"My dress weighs another six stones."
But she appeared to get offended when it was suggested her curves had disappeared.
She said brusquely, pulling a face: "Are you telling me my curves are absent? I think I am doing very well, thank you very much

I'm a Natural Woman now, says voluptuous Aretha Franklin
For decades the Queen of soul has battled with her weight.
But it seems that Aretha Franklin has finally decided to accept defeat or, in the words of one of her hits, be a Natural Woman.
She arrived at an awards night in Washington in a vast yellow, green and olive chiffon dress that did nothing to disguise her curves.

She arrived at an awards night in Washington in a vast yellow, green and olive chiffon dress that did nothing to disguise her curves.
At 65, she appeared to be more than twice the size of the svelte young woman who in the Sixties and Seventies had a string of hits with songs such as Respect, Say a Little Prayer and You Make Me Feel (Like a Natural Woman).
Another guest at the Kennedy Centre Honours night said: "Aretha arrived as a vision in bright yellow. It was a real statement dress and she definitely wasn't trying to cower away or go unnoticed.
"She was on fine form and turned out to be the life and soul of the party. She is proud of her more womanly physique."

The 16-times Grammy winner has spoken about her battle with her weight.
She said she spent decades starving herself to stay slim.
"For a long time I suffered so much trying to be what other people expected me to be and look like," she told a US website.
"I definitely was never meant to be a model type walking down a runway - I'm just Aretha singing what she feels in her heart and soul."

Recycled Spice! Geri brings back the Union Jack as 'Golden Girls' kick off world tour
Scary was back in a leopard print catsuit, Sporty was tracksuit-clad and Ginger once again donned a Union Jack dress to eyepopping effect.
But as the Spice Girls burst onto the stage for the first date in their much-hyped comeback tour, it was clear to the audience what a difference a decade makes.
For aside from the retro outfits recycled for nostalgic fans, there was little about the five-strong band bearing any resemblance to the last time they performed together.

For aside from the retro outfits recycled for nostalgic fans, there was little about the five-strong band bearing any resemblance to the last time they performed together.
While everything about the show was big - from the no-expense spared budget to the pyrotechnics and dramatic light show - the same could not be said of the quintet.
Gone was the puppy fat they boasted when they first soared to the top of the charts in 1996.
Instead slimmed-down Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm were shadows of their former selves when they took to the stage once again.

In the years since they split, there have been three husbands, seven children and one divorce - not to mention some surgical enhancements.
Their weight has dramatically yo-yoed too with Mrs Beckham, 33 and Miss Halliwell, 35, in particular shedding pounds and admitting to suffering from eating disorders together with Miss Chisholm, 32.
Meanwhile despite having two children Miss Brown, 32, boasted a toned physique thanks to her strenuous routines on the TV show Dancing With the Stars while Miss Bunton, 31, has rapidly slimmed down just three months after giving birth to her son Beau.

That did not stop more than 15,000 fans being reduced to a hysterical frenzy when they performed in Vancouver on Sunday.
There were eight costume changes as they sang 22 tracks, accompanied by a troupe of semi-clad male dancers.
Designer Roberto Cavalli had faithfully recreated some of the most memorable garb from their early days, adding a glamorous twist on outfits such as the Union Jack dress with rhinestone gems and Swarovski crystals.

But while a younger Miss Halliwell struggled to stop her curves from bursting out of the skimpy outfit at the Brit awards in 1997, she had no such problem in her recent performance.
Instead, minus her voluptuous figure, she had to yank it up repeatedly in a bid to keep it on.
Mrs Beckham's footballer husband David flew in from New Zealand specially for the concert, presenting each of the women with a gold bracelet beforehand as a good luck charm.

Posh Spice, who posed for her male dancers who were pretending to be paparazzi during the performance, confessed she was anxious about her husband seeing the show.
Mrs Beckham said: "David turned up today but he hasn't been at any of the rehearsals because he's been away working so I'm nervous about what he's going to think about the show.
The women had been heavily criticised for failing to sing live in the run-up to the weekend performance, despite staging two earlier warm-up gigs.
Yesterday their spokesman said they had sung on stage - albeit with the aid of click track, a device which kicks in to bolster their performance when their voices fail.

Reviewers were less effusive in their praise with Mrs Beckham - who has since made her fortune as a self-styled fashion icon - in particular being singled out for a "wooden" performance.
Marsha Lederman, of the Canadian Globe and Mail, said: "Posh Spice looked uncomfortable in her tightly-corseted outfits and carefully coiffed hair, which she spent a fair amount of time clearing from her face.
"Her dance moves were stiff and at one point at least she started to sing a line before it was time."
Despite speculation there have been rifts and a power struggle since announcing their comeback, the women insisted they were close.
The five held hands and embraced each other throughout the show, with Geri and Victoria going to great lengths to display their affection towards each other.
Miss Chisholm told the audience: "It is just great to all be back together."

Cindy Crawford reveals her stretch marks - and shows she's human after all
Cindy Crawford is more famous for the trademark mole on her face than stretch marks - but it seems that even supermodels suffer from the unsightly signs of motherhood.
The 41-year-old's body has been splashed all over magazines and has been the envy of every woman.
But her striking stretch marks were seen for the first time when she played in the sea on a Hawaiian holiday this week.
